I have seen too many doctors in the last few weeks.
Yesterday Elise and I went to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester where her surgery will be preformed so she could have a CT Scan.
It was a short trip. The CT Scan didn’t take more than 5 minutes and we were in and out of the hospital in an hour. Elise was a champ and slept through the scan. I, on the other hand, did not handle the CT Scan nearly as well. The machine was huge and she is so small. It was scary to say the least.
On the drive home the nurse of the plastic surgeon that will be scrubbing in called and had two options for surgery dates. It looks like Elise will have her surgery on January 5th or 7th.
An hour after getting home I took Michael to the doctor to get his vaccinations for Preschool. He didn’t handle his doctor visit nearly as well as Elise handled hers.
I left the doctors office bruised and sweaty after fighting him every step of the way. That kid is STRONG!
I must say a quick shout out to Abby. Thank you again for watching the boys so we could go to Rochester with out the boys. It made both visits so much easier. It was a relief to be able to talk to the doctor without the boys distracting us.
This morning Michael had Preschool orientation. He loved it. He loved the classroom and all the toys. He was excited about all the kids. He used the bathroom and did well – HUGE relief for him and me that there wasn’t any automatic flushing toilets or hand dryers!
Patrick loved Preschool too. He threw a tantrum when it was time to go. It is hard to explain to an almost 3 year old that he has to wait a year to go to Preschool….
It has been a busy and crazy few weeks here. Starting next Monday I hope that Preschool and the schedule it will force us to keep, will help us settle into a more normal routine.
