Yeah it is a big project. Tim thinks I am in over my head, I think he isn’t be supportive and then I got my period this morning and now everything is better. 🙂 Uffda. hormones are a bitch.

You can tell Tim that we Arnold women are designed to get in over our head – the interesting part is always watching us trying to get out of the situations we get in

I am painting this afternoon. I am finally seeing the light at the end of this rabbit hole tunnel of the boys room makeover!

My mom would send a pic of the progress of their cabin addition and I would send a pic of me covered in popcorn slop- because that is the best way to describe it. It is damp, kind of muddy, grayish and gross.

I wanted to give up so many times but I didn’t. The room as a whole is far from finished but I just put a coat of white ceiling paint on the boys’ de-popcorned ceiling. I am awesome and the ceiling looks awesome.

NOW the fun can begin.

Still left to do:

  • touch up the wall paint
  • fill in all the random holes in the wall (The previous owner had cable lines running through the shared wall of the kids’ bedrooms. And the hole from the previous curtain rods need to be filled too.)
  • stain the loft beds
  • make curtains for the window
  • make “fort” curtains for under the loft
  • touch up the paint on the bookshelf
  • put the matresses and furniture back in
  • figure out under loft lighting (touch lights? String lights? crank flash lights?)
  • hang art

Photos coming soon.

I’m gonna hire you to come help with my kids’ room. I still have to somehow figure out how to get both of them in there. A loft bed would be the best answer right now, but I know Joe won’t help me build it.

I would only accept payment in the form of bloody marys. I would love to come help. I will bring the kreg jig 🙂
