Mother Daughter

Beth is in Minot this week for her spring break and is helping my folks organize things before they move. Today they are going through the shoe boxes of 4x6s my Mom had stashed away. I have been receiving pics of photos from Beth all day. This one she captioned, “Oh, Hello Elise.”

I am in bed sick today and Tim stayed home from work so I could rest without the kids interrupting my pity party. That photo made my day. Thank you Beth.

I am not sure when this was taken but I am guessing it was 1986 putting me at three years old (Mom-correct me if I am wrong)? I don’t know how old I am, but I do know it is in my Grandma and Grandpa’s backyard. We spent a lot of time in their backyard which is huge, landscaped into three tiers that made games of tag epic, was filled with beautiful flowers, and home to the most delicious tomatoes. Yellow pear tomatoes are my favorite because of that backyard. My Grandma used to let me pick them and eat them right from the garden. Yum.

Side by side comparison you ask? Sure – here you go.

Next time we are in Grand Forks visiting Tim’s folks, I will be sure to take a photo of the portrait of Tim ‘s family when he was the age Patrick is now. If you think Elise and I look alike – just wait. Patrick is a mini Tim to a T.

This was in the spring before you turned two. I would guess early June based on the flowering sedum
